Bringing technology to small and mid-sized factories
The idea of Pico formed when Pico’s three founders recognized the significant impact small and mid-sized factories have on the supply chain. Roughly 80% of all operations in manufacturing are performed by people.
America is home to over 600,000 manufacturing businesses - most of which are small and mid-sized. The choice to focus on those businesses stems from the founders’ roots in and support of small factory towns.
As co-founder and CEO, Ryan leads the Pico team in their relentless pursuit of making the day-to-day better for manufacturers. He grew up in a factory town and started his career at General Motors. After working for startup manufacturers–including Tesla–he joined Alta Motors, a startup building a revolutionary and widely acclaimed electric motorcycle. During that experience he learned the importance of manufacturing execution systems, and the idea for Pico was born. He is a graduate of Missouri Science & Technology and now resides in a small factory town.
Geoff leads the software team at Pico, building and maintaining the extensive systems that enable our customers to succeed. After a software career at Amazon and other leading companies, he met Ryan and Zac at Alta Motors and reunited with them afterwards to build Pico. Geoff is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and lives in Rochester, New York.
Zac manages the customer deployments and device integrations at Pico, one of several critical pieces of the puzzle to ensure our customers realize the full potential of Pico. Zac graduated from MIT and has had an extensive career in manufacturing, with an early stint at Tesla and many years at Ford. He, Ryan, and Geoff met at Alta Motors, an electric motorcycle startup, where they together recognized the importance of manufacturing execution for companies of all sizes. Zac grew up in rural Illinois working at his father’s metal fabrication company.
Dustin Gransberry leads the sales team at Pico and is responsible for expanding the reach of Pico’s interactive software platform. Gransberry, a Seattle native, lives in Santa Barbara, CA with his wife and two children. He has scaled several early stage companies to the next level and decided to join Pico to help American manufacturers embrace industry 4.0 to become more competitive globally. Gransberry is known for developing high performance sales teams that sell complex solutions ethically to maximize customer value. Outside of work, you will find him in the kitchen whipping up something gourmet, catching surf at the beach, or cruising down a mountain slope.
